A specialty in dentistry that studies and corrects maloclusions, as well as the skeletal alterations of upper and lower jaws. The correction of teeth and the bony bases is made by means of a series of appliances that can be fixed or removable, depending on the individual case.

Orthodontics does not have an age treatment limit. The teeth can be corrected in any age. Children are asked to come to the orthodontist before six years old to be able to make an early detection and diagnosis of coming maloclusions.
